Fully vaccinated experienced house-sitters, Active Magistrate

This was our first foray into someone house sitting for us and, with Phil and Rita’s expert support throughout, it went beautifully. But then again Phil and Rita are a bit special. You would be very lucky to have them offer to house sit for you. I’m sure their outstanding reputation precedes them, but I did want to share a few things - esepecially for anyone considering an international house sit. Right from the first contact Rita and Phil helped us get organised, with things to consider in preparation and a very useful handover template, without every being obtrusive. Their communication was thoughtful, professional and friendly, and - importantly to use - we felt we knew them before they arrived in Australia and we departed for England. Their genuine interest in our animals was felt immediately and both pets really loved them. We got regular updates, photos and videos of our pets and the things they all got up to together. They even dealt with our dog’s acute skin condition during the Christmas break with minimum fuss and maximum concern. I think our dog is still missing them! In terms of the house, it was spotless on our return, with lawns mowed, pool cleaned, and laundry done etc. They had very thoughtfully put some fundamental groceries in the fridge for our return and picked us up from the airport. They even got on really well with our neighbours. I know, I know, they sound too good to be true, but they actually are this good - and more. My only regrets are that we couldn’t holiday WITH them (they would make excellent travel companions!) and that I’m limited to 5 stars to rate the quality of their care!
